Emegha scored Strasbourg's third goal in the six-goal spectacle, bringing his season total to an impressive 12 goals in 24 league appearances.
His contributions have been pivotal for Strasbourg, who are now unbeaten in seven matches and have climbed into European qualification spots.
Beyond his goal-scoring prowess, Emegha delivered a standout all-around performance against Lyon, completing 100% of his passes, creating two chances, making two key passes, and recovering possession three times.
The young forward’s rise has not gone unnoticed. With his combination of physical presence, standing at an imposing 1.95 metres, and technical ability, Emegha has become one of Ligue 1’s most exciting prospects.
His performances have sparked interest from top clubs, including Chelsea, who are reportedly considering a €22-25 million bid for the striker.
Emegha's form this season has been a revelation after signing for Strasbourg from Sturm Graz in July 2023 for €13 million.
His rapid development has placed him among the league’s elite young talents, and his eligibility for Nigeria could spark conversations about a potential call-up to bolster the Super Eagles’ attacking options.
With 14 G/A already this season, Emegha is proving that he is not just a rising star but a consistent performer capable of influencing games at the highest level.
