Ghana’s Asante-Kissi accredited by EISA as an international elections observer

Asante Kissi, a Deputy Director at the Electoral Commission of Ghana and an International Election Consultant, has been accredited as an International Elections Observer by the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA). He received the certification under the auspices of ECOWAS at a training session held for 14 participants from the ECOWAS sub-region. The training took place between August 11-14, 2025. Participants came from Ghana (3), Gambia (3), Senegal (3), Nigeria (1), Togo (1), Benin (1), Burkina Faso (1), Liberia (1). Kissi’s extensive experience includes working on election projects in Liberia, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Senegal, Gabon, and Malawi since 2008. He has also collaborated with reputable international organizations such as IFES, NDI, IRI, IDEA, and ECOWAS. A dedicated professional, Kissi has been with the Electoral Commission of Ghana for 29 years, steadily advancing through the ranks. His career progression includes key positions like Electoral Officer, Senior Electoral Officer, Principal Electoral Officer, Assistant Director, and Deputy Director. EISA is a non-profit organization founded in 1996 and based in Johannesburg, South Africa, with field offices across the continent. It is dedicated to promoting credible elections, citizen participation, and strong political institutions for sustainable democracy in Africa.
