Hamza Igamane's unseen role in Rangers goal against Killie as rival fans scream foul
@Source: dailyrecord.co.uk
Rival punters have called Rangers' equaliser in their 4-2 comeback victory against Kilmarnock into question and reckon that Hamza Igamane should have been punished for a foul. In his first game in interim charge, Barry Ferguson 's side had got off to a dreadful start at Rugby Park, going 2-0 down inside 15 minutes courtesy of goals from Joe Wright and Brad Lyons. The Light Blues did recover and pulled a crucial goal back going into the break when Vaclav Cerny ran clear to find the back of the net. And within seven minutes of the restart, they then levelled things up when Cyriel Dessers was left free to head home from James Tavernier's in-swinging corner. Killie boss Derek McInnes was infuriated with the decision to award the away side a corner, believing that the final touch had came off a Rangers player. But eagle-eyed fans on social media have also spotted a tussle between the Nigerian's strike partner Igamane and Killie centre back Lewis Mayo, with both players ending up on the goal line as Dessers' header beat stopper Kieran O'Hara. The equaliser put the Light Blues in the ascendency, and they deservedly went onto complete their comeback in style, with Dessers netting again with a emphatic half-volley before substitute Nedim Bajrami put the game to bed to round off the scoring. Recording the incident from his TV, one X user shared the clip on social media along with the message: "I’m a bit late to this one - Rangers player wrestles the Kilmarnock player away from the area the ball is coming to, and pushes him in to the goals, this is ok now? Just for future reference, because it looks like a clear foul." Another added: "Seen that at the time. Wasn't even looked at. Was Igamane I think or else he did it at another corner" while a third wrote: "Saw that immediately last night - VAR check over in the usual nanosecond of course. And it wasn't even a corner to begin with."
