Hugo Ekitike has reportedly chosen to sign for Liverpool over Newcastle, and the Reds are said to be preparing a bid for the Eintracht Frankfurt striker. The 23-year-old has found himself at the middle of a transfer tug of war between the two Premier League clubs, a situation made more complicated by Alexander Isak's future. But according to several sources, Ekitike has decided to sign for Liverpool just days after Newcastle launched a £70million bid. The Daily Star reports that the Frenchman prefers a move to Anfield and the Reds are preparing a bid. Newcastle are also said to have already left talks to sign Ekitike and his proposed move to St James' Park is off, seeing the Magpies turn their attention to Brentford striker Yoanne Wissa, according to The Athletic.
