IND Vs ENG: Rohit Sharma-Led India Arrive In Ahmedabad After Big Cuttack Win, Check Pictures

The Indian cricket team touched down in Ahmedabad for the final match of the long white-ball series against England, aiming to complete a clinical 3-0 whitewash in the ODI series to end the preparations for the 2025 Champions Trophy on a high. The match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, February 12 — the first men’s ODI here since the forgetful 2023 World Cup final.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared some happy pictures of the players’ arrival on their social media handles. These included skipper Rohit Sharma, vice-captain Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul, and others. Check the pictures below:

India have won six of the seven matches in the series so far, only losing the third T20I of the five-match series that preceded the ODIs. In the last match, the hosts took home a big, four-wicket win, thanks to a century from skipper Rohit and a three-wicket haul from Jadeja.
The final ODI will be important for multiple reasons. Firstly, the Champions Trophy is almost like a knockout tournament, where losing even one match can have a disastrous effect on the campaign, so it’s important for India to carry as much momentum and as few doubts as possible to the first match against Bangladesh on February 20.
Then, it’ll also be interesting to see if the team management uses this dead-rubber to test their bench strength.
Wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant hasn’t played an ODI in a long time and might get a go in the middle-order. Also, Arshdeep Singh could be a potent replacement for Jasprit Bumrah if he fails to gain fitness for the Champions Trophy and can get a chance to impress.
Frontline spinner Kuldeep Yadav, too, spent the last match on the bench and might get another game, either as a replacement for Varun Chakaravarthy or one of the all-rounders between Jadeja and Axar Patel.
The decisions will give an insight into the team management’s thinking and strategies as they aim to win back the Champions Trophy after 12 years.
