Jurgen Klopp's Agent Shuns Real Madrid Rumours; Says Ex-Liverpool Boss Is 'Very Happy' At Red Bull

Madridistas can finally catch their breath (or some may fume more), for it seems that Carlo Ancelotti is slated to stay. Not merely due to the goodwill of Real Madrid, but rather because of the lack of options, it seems.
With rumours speculating Jurgen Klopp’s return to the top-tier with Los Blancos flooding the news currently, the former Liverpool manager’s agent cleared the air, assuring everyone that Klopp is “very happy” in his current post at Red Bull.
Klopp, who departed from Liverpool after a nine-year tenure last summer, became Red Bull’s Global Head of Soccer in January, taking care of a stable of clubs including RB Leipzig, the New York Red Bulls and Bragantino in Brazil.
Klopp, the revolutionary genius behind Liverpool’s resurgence in the past decade, poached 8 trophies of his own during his decade-long tenure at Anfield.
Real Madrid’s Champions League crash-out against Arsenal sparked rumours galore about Los Blancos’ motive to replace Ancelotti at the helm.
German media reported that Klopp was one of the big names that the Madrid side wants to witness in the Bernabeu dugout.
But, it seems like the 15-time UCL champions may have to dampen their expectations, as Klopp’s agent Marc Kosicke reassured that the German was fully enjoying his new job.
“Jurgen is very happy with his new role with Red Bull,” Kosicke told Sky Deutschland.
In support of Kosicke’s comments, RB Leipzig coach Zsolt Low, who comes under the oversight of Klopp at Red Bull, said he “could not imagine” Klopp moving to Real Madrid, adding the German was “very happy in the job.”
“He’s shown that he can bring a club together, a group of 40, 50, 60 people, and take them with him,” Low praised Klopp.
It had also been reported earlier that Madrid have their eyes set on club legend and current Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso to take over, in case Ancelotti is forced out.
Alonso has proven his coaching chops at Leverkusen, leading them to an unbeaten season in the Bundesliga last year, while nabbing the domestic double.
But the Spaniard, on Friday, also refused to discuss the links and said it is not a good time to discuss the future with his club’s hopes of defending the Bundesliga on the ropes.
“It’s not a good time to discuss the future. We’re at a very important moment in the season. I don’t want to talk about speculation and rumours. [I understand] that this is happening, but what’s more important to me is what’s happening right now,” stated Alonso in the pre-game press conference.
