Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen's wife, Jackie admitted she doesn't want him doing anything like that again after his dangerous experience. The 60-year-old interior designer took part in Netflix's Celebrity Bear Hunt, where he found himself in a terrifying experience while they filmed. The series saw 12 celebrities involved in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse as they try to evade capture from Bear Grylls in the Costa Rican jungle. The celebrities on the show include Spice Girl Mel B, former tennis ace Boris Becker, TV presenter Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, models Lottie Moss and Leomie Anderson, and Strictly judge Shirley Ballas. Journalist Steph McGovern, Ted Lasso star Kola Bokinni, TV chef Big Zuu, Inbetweeners actor Joe Thomas, former Saturdays singer Una Healy and ex-rugby player Danny Cipriani. Laurence lost consciousness after he was dragged under a boat during a water stunt in the programme hosted by Holly Willoughby and Bear Grylls He was trapped underwater for several minutes during a challenge where the celebrities had to jump from a boat into a lake, however, the star got himself caught in a bungee rope before Bear managed to save him. The star previously admitted he "couldn't breathe and started passing out", and now his wife Jackie has shared her thoughts on his experience. Jackie told the new issue of Britain's HELLO! magazine: "He was on video phone, and he was making quite light of it to begin with; then he was in tears. "I was telling him off, saying, 'This is typical you, showing off, taking it too far.' I may have shed a few tears. When you go through something like that, it's almost like PTSD [post-traumatic stress disorder], and the thinking back is probably more upsetting than going through it in the first place." She continued: "Laurence has done an awful lot of incredibly brave things in his life, and very few things ever faze him. He was filming in a hot-air balloon in Spain when it crashed into a pine forest. "Then he was in a microlight in Northern Ireland that I refused to go in, where the engine kept cutting out, and he's been on those awful rides in Las Vegas that throw you out on top of a high-rise building. He's fearless. "But of all the elements that Laurence really has never liked, water would be the one. He doesn't like being in the sea; he doesn't like being out of his depth." Jackie admitted she didn't want to watch the episode initially, but eventually decided to. She shared: "I really didn't think I wanted to watch the episode when it was on, because you think you might be haunted by that image. "But I did watch it, and I thought, 'Phew, that was lucky - that was one of his nine lives'", before adding: "I don't want him doing anything like that again."
