Aston Villa midfielder Youri Tielemans and winger Marco Asensio have hailed Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford after he bagged two assists in the victory over Chelsea on Saturday evening. Rashford departed United at the beginning of February after it became clear that he would not be considered for minutes under Ruben Amorim . Initially, MEN Sport understands the Englishman wanted to make a move to Barcelona in January but the La Liga giants were not keen on signing the forward midway through the season. However, when this became clear, Rashford was quick to agree a loan move to Villa Park after Unai Emery personally requested his club to sign the forward. Villa hold an option to buy the forward at the end of the season and they may well do that if he keeps up his current form. The United loanee came on at half-time with the Midlands club 1-0 down to Chelsea and helped inspire the comeback with two assists for Marco Asensio as Villa won 2-1. Speaking to Sky Sports after receiving his Man of the Match award, Asensio thanked the winger for his efforts. "We all know the quality of Marcus, he helps us a lot and we are so happy [to have him at Villa] and thank you also to Marcus for the two assists," the forward said before Tielemans was quizzed on Rashford in his own post-match interview with the broadcaster. "Very pleased we got him especially the way he is performing now, with the two assists that he got today," the midfielder added. "Listen, Marcus is someone who can threaten everyone one v one, even one v two. "He is very important for us in the way that he plays because he gives us something else on that left-hand side and I think you could tell today that every time he got the ball he was dangerous. Hopefully, with many more minutes in his legs, he will get better."
