Eurovision 2025 is making its debut this week with fans eager to meet this year's presenters. The Eurovision Song Contest this time around will be hosted in Basel, Switzerland, at St Jakobshalle, following Nemo's victory last year with their captivating hit 'The Code'. With curiosity piqued, fans are keen to meet the presenting team set to guide us through this iconic international musical spectacle. The Eurovision Song Contest grand final will see Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker, and Sandra Studer as this year's three hosts. However, the semi-finals on Tuesday, May 13, and Thursday, May 15, will see just Hazel Brugger and Sandra Studer hosting the proceedings. First among the formidable hosting trio is the acclaimed comedian and presenter Hazel Brugger. The award-winning comedian was born in the US but spent much of her life near Zurich before settling in Germany's Darmstadt region. A comedy powerhouse, Brugger has received the Salzburg Bull, a Swiss Comedy Award, a German Comedy Award, and has been dubbed as the "queen of wit" by Germany's distinguished Kleinkunstpreis jury. Joining her is Michelle Hunziker, lauded as "one of Europe's most beloved entertainers" by Eurovision itself. Hunziker boasts a remarkable portfolio of work, charming audiences across various German and Italian television programmes. Sandra Studer is no stranger to the world of the Eurovision Song Contest, as she represented Sweden under her stage name Sandra Simo in 1991 with the tune "Canzone Per Te," securing a commendable fifth spot. Following her stint as a contestant, Studer's career thrived with roles as a presenter, actress, and vocalist, earning her involvement in the contest as its national pre-selection presenter, spokesperson and commentator over the years. The co-executive producers of the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2025, Moritz Stadler and Reto Peritz spoke highly of their selection for hosts, stating: "For the world's biggest show, it was important for us to recruit hosts who bring more than just presenting skills – Hazel, Sandra, and Michelle bring unique versatility with additional talents such as comedy, dance and singing. "We are incredibly proud to have signed such impressive and diverse women as hosts." The Eurovision Song Contest grand final airs on Saturday, May 17, from 8pm, on BBC One and the BBC iPlayer.
