Bhubaneswar: A memorial meeting was organized in the premises of the Jagannath Temple of the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) on the untimely demise of actor Ayash Kant Swain, a popular actor of Kalinga TV. Actor Ayash Kant Swain, died during rehearsal of a play at the Annapurna Ranga Manch, in Puri. He was the only actor of a Kalinga TV’s popular program ‘Kanduri Jeza’ in which he was performing two character. Today Kalinga TV and Kadambini magazine organized a memorial meeting for Ayash Kant. After the untimely demise of Ayash Kant Swain today many literary figures, theater directors, actors, and the Kalinga TV family came together to remember him. On this occasion, KIIT and KISS and Kalinga TV founder DR. Achyuta Samanta assured to provide a job to Ayash Kant’s wife and to support his son’s education. Kaling TV’s CMD Himansu Khatua spoke about Ayash Kant’s experience of working at Kalinga TV. He talked about every moment spent with Ayash Kant and how dedicated he was to his work. Kadambini magazine editor Dr Iti Samanta, theatre director Manoj Patnaik, Darpannarayan Sethi, Mihir Meher actor Ravi Mishra, Shakti Baral and many other film personalities attended this memorial meeting.
