Roy Keane was not afraid to poke fun at Manchester United’s recent woes while chatting with Luke Littler . Keane has been one of United’s harshest critics during the ongoing struggles experienced by Ruben Amorim – and his expertise and dry sense of humour make him perfectly placed to crack jokes. United are 13th in the Premier League heading into the Manchester Derby against rivals City this weekend. Amorim’s side have won just 10 of their 30 league matches and the Portuguese head coach has been unable to turn around the sinking ship he inherited from Erik ten Hag. He has been clear that it will take a long time – and lots of patience – to turn the team into one that can once again challenge for the Premier League title. And while that’s evidently true, it hasn’t stopped the sniping from Keane while on punditry duty. The former United captain was in a more jovial setting on The Overlap , where the usual gang were joined by darts sensation, and United fan, Littler. During their chat, Keane asked: “Do you go to United games? Prawn sandwiches? You get looked after…” Littler replied: “Yeah, not seen us win yet though.” Gary Neville then added: “You’ve not seen us win yet?!” to which Littler confirmed, “No”. Keane then immediately shot across the table dead-pan: “He’s only been 20 times!” Neville burst out laughing, before Littler continued. “I went to the Liverpool game last year where we drew 2-2 and this year against Brighton , where I went on the pitch at half-time.” The 18-year-old paraded his World Championship trophy at Old Trafford in January, but United lost that game 3-1 to Brighton. Littler said his favourite United player growing up was Wayne Rooney and his current favourite is skipper Bruno Fernandes . “Since he’s joined, there’s not a No.8 better,” he said confidently, before being met by another joke from Keane. He quipped: “As a player, yeah, but as a captain…” prompting more laughter from around the table. Keane has become well-known for his criticism of Fernandes’ leadership this season, with the midfielder even responding to his words . "I've said it before, I have huge respect for Roy Keane . I think he was one of the best captains the club has had, an amazing player for the club, won basically everything for this club,” he said last month. "It's the way he thinks, it's the idea he has about me as a player, as a captain, and I have to respect that. Obviously I do the things in my own way to try to be the best – not captain, but person and team-mate – as I can.
