‘Sense of sadness & shock’ after untimely death of young Clare athlete ‘deeply loved by his heartbroken family’

HEARTFELT tributes have been pouring in following the untimely passing of talented Clare athlete Dylan White.
Dylan, from Clonroad Beg in Ennis, died on Friday “peacefully at home surrounded by his family”.
Dylan was active in GAA and soccer, and was well-known in several clubs in his hometown.
His heartbreaking online death notice described Dylan as being “deeply loved by his heartbroken family, mother Catriona, father Peter and brother Evan, aunts, uncles, relatives, friends and his girlfriend Ellen”.
He was a member of CLG Éire Óg Inis, with the club posting an emotional tribute to their former player.
It read: “There has been a deep sense of sadness and shock around the entire Club since we heard of Dylan's passing and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire White family at this devastating time.
“We offer our sincere condolences and support to Evan, Peter, Triona and to Dylan’s girlfriend Ellen, extended family and to Dylan’s friends who will all miss him so dearly.
“Dylan, along with Evan, has been a big part of the Éire Óg family and in particular our Junior B football teams.
“May Dylan’s gentle soul rest in peace.”
Liam Griffin, President of Éire Óg Inis, also paid tribute, saying: “Sincere sympathy to Peter, Caitriona, Evan and the extended White Family on the recent sad passing of the late Dylan White.
“Dylan's passing at such a young age must be so difficult to understand for his family and friends.
“He was a valued member of Eire Og GAA Club and will be greatly missed by all club members. May Dylan's gentle soul rest in eternal peace.”
'DEEPEST CONDOLENCES'
Dylan was also a passionate soccer player, representing Ennis Town FC where he was coached by his father, Peter.
The club also posted a touching tribute, it read: “Some sad news today on the passing of our former player Dylan.
“Dylan played all the way through our academy and then through schoolboys with his dad being a coach. Our deepest condolences to Peter, Catriona, Evan and all his family and friends.”
Those who knew Dylan spoke of the positive impact he had on everyone around him, with many remembering his kindness and sporting talent.
'BEAUTIFUL PERSON'
One posted: “Remembering Dylan’s lovely, smiley face in my maths class in Flannan’s - a beautiful person. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Thinking of his family, girlfriend and friends.”
While another wrote: “Our deepest sympathy to the White family on the passing of Dylan, a wonderful young man I had the privilege to know him through the community games. He was a beautiful soccer player and a lovely mannered child. May his gentle soul rest in peace.”
Dylan will repose at his home on Sunday evening from 5 to 7pm, with funeral mass taking place in the Ennis Cathedral on Monday at 11am.
CLG Éire Óg will form a Guard of Honour following requiem mass on Monday.
