Teagasc is currently seeking expressions of interest for agricultural contracting services for its site at Athenry, Co. Galway.
The agriculture and food development authority said that it will only invite a limited number of relevant, experienced providers to tender stage.
Teagasc said that the current requirements include: grassland reseeding; discing; power harrowing; ploughing; spraying and low emission slurry spreading (LESS).
The closing date for consideration of interest is 5:00p.m on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
Separately, Teagasc is also currently inviting tenders from service providers to construct a single storey shed at its Athenry Farm.
The Animal and Grasslands Research and Innovation Centre operates within this 82ha campus which is located around 3km west of Athenry town centre.
According to Teagasc, the centre is dedicated to advancing the Irish sheep sector through science-driven solutions that enhance both the profitability and environmental sustainability of production systems.
Staff at the centre are active in national and international research networks, participating in a number of national and internationally funded projects and have very close links with universities in Ireland and abroad.
The works consist of the civil, structural and services works connected with the construction of the shed and site works.
The deadline for the submission of completed tenders is 5:00p.m on Monday, April 7, 2025.
