WATCH: Boys volleyball No. 1 team on the road vs. ranked foe in pivotal matchup

The state’s most dominant boys volleyball team is going on the road to play another highly-ranked opponent, and NJ.com subscribers can watch the game for free. Old Bridge, the No. 1 team in the NJ.com Top 20, travels to Union County to take on third-ranked Scotch Plains-Fanwood at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Old Bridge is 21-0 this season and enters Tuesday’s matchup riding a 53-game winning streak, which dates back to last season when the Knights went 32-0. Old Bridge has only dropped two sets this season, both of which came in a 3-2 win against Southern, the No. 2 team in the state in mid-April. Old Bridge junior Oskar Lapinski leads the team with 149 kills, while senior Adrian Marke is second with 125. Senior Troy Markle has a team-leading 383 assists and has 39 aces. Scotch Plains-Fanwood enters this week having won eight consecutive matches and has a matchup against Hillside on Monday before gearing up to host Old Bridge. Scotch Plains-Fanwood junior Daniel Ennis has a team-high 241 kills, while sophomore Brody Balestrino leads the team with 519 assists. Junior Brandon Indoe has 159 kills for the Raiders.
