The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed it is investigating an incident involving an alleged assault of a Yadah FC player by a club official. The investigation was initiated after the PSL received a formal complaint from the Footballers Union of Zimbabwe. In a press release, the league acknowledged the seriousness of the allegations and stated it has requested detailed reports from the concerned club, Yadah FC, to establish the facts surrounding the incident. Emphasising that the safety and welfare of all players and stakeholders is its top priority, the PSL says appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with its rules and regulations once all relevant information has been gathered and reviewed. The league’s Communications and Media Liaison Officer, Kudzai Bare, stated that the PSL will not be making any further comments until the necessary reports have been received and the investigation is fully concluded.
