Telangana ends runners-up in Sri Sathya Sai National T-20 championship

Hyderabad: Tamil Nadu won the second edition of the Sri Sathya Sai National T-20 cricket league championship for South Zone with a 75-run win against hosts Telangana in the final at JB Ground (Turkayamjal) here.
Batting first, Tamil Nadu scored 164 for nine in 20 overs with TK Vigneshwar (32, 14b, 4x6) being the lead scorer while for the host Tanmay (three for 25) was the pick of the bowlers.
In reply, Telangana was bowled out for 89 in 19 overs with Vishnu Dev (three for 15) and Vigneshwar (two for 14) bowling well.
The All India finale will be held at Puttaparthi from August 15 to 17.
Former DGP of united Andhra Pradesh and ex-Central Vigilance Commissioner, HJ Dora, former India wicketkeeper MSK Prasad, and VK Ramaswamy, former ICC umpire, graced the prize distribution function.
Nimish Pandya, All India president, Sri Satya Sai Seva organisation, said the tournament was more than cricket—it's about character, community, and commitment to nation-building.
