A couple of clubs on Major League Soccer’s west coast get set to do battle on Sunday afternoon as the Portland Timbers play host to the Los Angeles Galaxy. The reigning MLS Cup champions might have had to make some adjustments to their roster from last year, there were expectations that the team would be back contending near the top of the Western Conference. However, the Galaxy have struggled in the early going. After losing to San Diego FC in the club’s first-ever match, L.A. followed that up with losses to the Vancouver Whitecaps and St. Louis City SC. Things have not been as glorious for the Timbers either. They were hammered in their season opener against the Whitecaps.
